Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a drug-free therapy with minimal side effects and is covered by most healthcare providers.

It is suitable for people of all ages, including pregnant women, teenagers, and children, and can be safely used alongside conventional medicine.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Acupuncture is one of the safest and longest-established forms of healthcare. Allana studied for three and a half years at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine obtaining a 2.1 BSc (Hons) in Acupuncture.

At Boost, Allana works collaboratively with conventional healthcare practitioners, using acupuncture to help patients manage the side effects of medication, support recovery, and promote a return to overall health and well-being.

What to expect during your Consultation?

What to expect during your Treatment?

A Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Acupuncturist has many tools at their disposal, not just needles. Depending on your symptoms and TCM diagnosis, a variety of techniques may be used during your treatment, and each will be explained to you before use.

Most acupuncture points are located on the lower legs and arms, which allows treatments to be delivered without the need to undress fully. We recommend wearing loose-fitting clothing so your lower legs can be easily accessed. If preferred, a towel can be placed over your lap, or some patients choose to wear a pair of shorts for comfort and convenience.
